Federal online betting and advertising law: status of the bill

Argentina has no national online betting law: each province regulates its own gambling. Since 2024, a bill that passed the Chamber of Deputies (half-sanction) has been waiting in the Senate, and in 2026 the national government sent another one. Both change the advertising rules.

The core difference: the Chamber of Deputies text prohibits the promotion and sponsorship of online betting; the Executive's text prohibits that of illegal platforms and sets conditions on that of authorized operators.
